    • Nicknamed Timmy and began playing at age 10 in his birthplace of Yuanlin where he stayed throughout his youth to improve his tennis skills. Says, "I was just a kid who liked to play sport very much."
    • Credits his long-time coach, Hsiao-Yung Chang, who has been with him since he was a kid and always pushed him to practiceharder and to motivate him.
    • Enjoyed an outstanding junior career, ranking a career-high No. 5 in 2017, and won 3 Grand Slam junior doubles titles with 3 different partners: Australian Open w/Zhao, Wimbledon w/Geller and US Open w/Yibing Wu. Says, "This had a huge impact on mycareer."

    • No. 2player from Chinese Taipei qualified into his 2nd career Grand Slam tournament at 2023 US Open, dropping only 1 set in 3 matches (d. former Top 20 Paire in 2R). Began season by qualifying at Australian Open and did not drop a set (going 4-0 in tie-breaks). Lost to No. 24 and top Aussie de Minaur in straight sets in 1R. Afterwards broke into Top 200 for 1st time.
    • Achieved a career-high No. 186 ranking on 16 April 2023 after winning his 2nd straight ITF World Tour title in Japan.
    • Has compiled a 10-0record on ITF World Tour in 2023, winning back-to-back titles in Japan without dropping a set (20-0 in sets). Since winning the titles, did not win back-to-back matches on any level until the US Open qualifiying. Went 2-6 in Challenger main draw(0-1 in Challenger qualifying) and lost in 1R qualifying at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
    • Has a 164-83career record on ITF World Tour with 11 titles, all on hard courts (11-4 in finals).
