Finished 9 of last 10 seasons in Top 75 (2008-13, 2015-17), achieving career-high No. 12 on 6 June 2011 after reaching Roland Garros 4R. Returned to Top 20 on 13 July 2015 after falling outside Top 800 on 14 July 2014.
Won back-to-back titles at Sydney, claiming 1st all-qualifier final on ATP World Tour in 2015 (d. Kukushkin) and saving 1 MP in 2016 final (d. Dimitrov). Beat Baghdatis for 1st singles title at 2010 Moscow. Earned biggest win of career over countryman and then-No. 3 Djokovic in 2007 Umag 2R. Suffered 33-match losing streak vs. Top 10 from 2009-14.
