Underwent surgeries on wrist and a vein in his right arm, also missing 9 months to recoverfrom golfer’s elbow.

Earned 1st ranking point in June 2014, broke into Top 200 in February 2022 and achieved career-high No. 101 in July 2022.
Defeated No. 2 Medvedev for 2022 ’s-Hertogenbosch title as 205th-ranked WC, becoming 1st player to beat World No. 1 or No. 2 in his 1st final since start of ATP Tour in 1990.
Entered ’s-Hertogenbosch with 1 tour-level win over No. 662 M. Ymer in 2016 Davis Cup Group I dead rubber.
Advanced to 2022 Wimbledon 4R as WC in Grand Slam main draw debut (l. to eventual champion Djokovic in 4 sets).
