- Achieved career-high No. 38 on 22 May 2017 after winning 10th Challenger title at Bordeaux, FRA. At age 33, became 3rd-oldest player to debut in Top 40 since 1975 behind Italians Pozzi in 2001 and Lorenzi in 2016.
- Earned 1st victories of career en route to 2007 Amersfoort title. Won ATP Tour, ATP Challenger Tour and ITF Futures Circuit titles in 2007 -- a feat not repeated until 2015 by Paire. Went on to win 2008 Memphis title and reach 2008 Amersfoort final.
- Defeated 2-time champion and World No. 5 Nadal in 2013 Wimbledon 1R for biggest win of career. Injured right shoulder during match and conceded walkover to Kubot in 2R.
- Advanced to Grand Slam 3R at 2011 Roland Garros as Q and 2017 Australian Open, as well as ATP Masters 1000 3R at 2015 Miami as Q. Qualified at 6 Grand Slam events overall.
- Clinched Davis Cup SF victories for Belgium with 5th-rubber wins over Delbonis in 2015 and Thompson in 2017. Lost doubles rubber in 2015 final (GBR d. BEL 3-1) and singles rubbers to Tsonga and Pouille in 2017 final (FRA d. BEL 3-2).
