Nickname is Lacress.
Father, Gerard, is French; mother, Leslie Nelson, is American; brothers, Jonathan and Mathieu.
Mom played volleyball at USC and led Trojans to 2 NCAA national championships.
Began playing tennis at age 4 with his brothers and against the wall.
Started training with French federation inBoulouris at age 12.
Played college tennis for UCLA from 2016-19 and majored in math.
"To be a citizen of both worlds is incredibly special, and it shaped me,"Cressy said of his French-American background."I became so much more independent by going to the States on my own. I had that belief that I could live the American dream, that my life could be much better, because my tennis game was suffering then. I thought that going to the States could give me a fresh start, and that is what it has done."
Favourite surface is grass, shot is serve and tournament is Newport. "My dream is to really make serve-and-volley great again, and inspire many people to start playing that game style," said Cressy.
Lists Paris as his favourite city on tour.

Enjoys meditation, yoga, basketball and football.

Also advanced to finals at 2022 Melbourne as Q (l. to Nadal), 2022 Eastbourne (l. to Fritz) and 2023 Montpellier (l. to Sinner) – defeating No. 9 Rune in Montpellier SF to equal biggest win of career.
Qualified at 2021 Australian Open and 2021 Wimbledon, reached 2022 Australian Open 4R and defeated No. 9 Auger-Aliassime in 2022 Wimbledon 1R.
Played college tennis for UCLA from 2016-19, posting 26-0 doubles record as a senior, winning 2019 NCAA doubles title w/K. Smith, and ending career as No. 1 doubles and No. 17 singles player in nation.
