Father, Jakub, played tennis with friends as a hobby and would take Maks with him. Parents signed him up for tennis lessons at a local club aged four.
Loved the sport right away and would hit against the wall during his free time.
Believes that his parents Jakub Kasnikowski and Joanna Kasnikowska had the most impact on his career. Has a brother, Hubert.

Earned 1st PIF ATP Rankings point in April 2021, broke inside Top 500 in September 2022 and Top 200 in June 2024 and achieved career-high No. 182 in July.
