    • Full name is Buyunchaokete, but goes by Bu or his American name, Bert.
    • When he was 14, decided he wanted to become a tennis professional.
    • From age 18, focused on school for two years during which he did not play any professional matches.
    • Aged 20, began an attempt to play professional tennis and has taken off from there.
    • Tennis idol is Andy Murray.
    • Favourite shot is his forehand.
    • Favourite tournament is Wimbledon and surface is grass.
    • Outside of tennis, enjoys football and his hero is Lionel Messi.

    • Former World No. 5 junior earned first ranking point in January 2022, broke into Top 500 in June 2022 and Top 200 in May 2023, earning career-high No. 123 in August 2024.
    • Made tour-level debut at 2022 Davis Cup (l. to M. Cuevas) and ATP Tour debut at 2023 ATP Masters Shanghai as WC, recording first ATP Tour win of career over No. 45 Kecmanovic in 1R.
    • Owns 60-34 Challenger record (3-2 in finals), earning 1st final and title at 2023 Seoul.
    • Also captured Challenger titles at 2024 Wuxi and 2024 Granby.
    • He notes Andy Murray as his tennis idol and played against him in 2023 Surbiton CH 2R, losing in straight sets.
    • Earned win over future-Top 10 player Rune en route to 2019 Australian Open boys’ singles 3R and reached quarter-finals in boys’ doubles at 2019 Roland Garros w/Khan and 2020 Australian Open w/Mitsui.
