Began playing tennis at age 4 after mother signed him up for lessons.
Moved to Alicante as a 5-year-old and split time growing up between Spain and Australia.Credits dual-upbringing as helping to shape his game.
Attended primary school in Spain and finished high school while travelling on tour.
Trains in Alicante and receives some support from Tennis Australia.
Selected by fellow players as 2018 ATP Newcomer of the Year.
Favourite surface is grass, shot is backhand and tournaments are Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Favourite sports team is Real Madrid because his mom is a longtime fan. Also supports NSW State of Origin rugby team.

Earned personal-best 47 victories in 2022 and 2024, then captured biggest of 9 ATP Tour titles in Acapulco in 2023 and 2024.
Reached 1st Grand Slam QF at 2020 US Open immediately after winning 1st ATP Tour doubles title at 2020 ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati w/Carreno Busta in team debut and at same venue.
Also advanced to Grand Slam QFs at 2024 Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open and 1st ATP Masters 1000 QF, SF and final at 2023 Toronto.
