Andrey Rublev may be enjoying a hard-earned break after another stellar year on the ATP Tour, but that does not mean the World No. 5 has not been busy this off-season.
The 26-year-old last week announced the public launch of his new clothing line Rublo, which offers a range of casual wear and tennis apparel. Rublev, whose charisma and relaxed off-court demeanour has made him a firm favourite with fans, promised to donate all the money raised from sales to a charity dedicated to child welfare.
“I just want to be honest and speak the truth,” wrote Rublev on Instagram. “Everyone deserves a chance. All the income from the collection (100%) will go to children in need. It’s not about business this time, because I’m not gaining anything.
“I believe that people’s ego only brings bad things, and the bigger the ego, the worse things happen. No matter how people treat you, even if they treat you badly, the most important thing is to keep the light inside and make your ego as small as possible.”
The 14-time ATP Tour titlist Rublev gave fans a glimpse of the Rublo style throughout 2023. He wore the brand on court throughout a season during which he lifted his maiden ATP Masters 1000 crown at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters and racked up a 56-26 tour-level record.
