Matteo Berrettini had the beats on his side Tuesday in Marrakech.
Not only did the Italian look sharp in his 6-2, 6-1 win against Alexander Shevchenko, but he earned the victory in front of a celebrity friend at the Grand Prix Hassan II. DJ Tiesto was in the crowd in Morocco.
“It's been great to have Tiesto by my side during during the match,” Berrettini said. “We've been texting a lot. We both have busy schedules and we've been trying the last few years since I met him… for him to be where I was and finally we made it, so I'm really happy.”

The Dutch DJ was in town for a holiday, so it was perfect timing. Berrettini put on a show for him, winning 53 per cent of his return points according to Infosys ATP Stats.
“I also played a really good match, so I told him that he brought me luck,” Berrettini said. “And hopefully, he's going to come to the next matches and the next tournaments. So I'm really happy and I appreciate his presence.”
