Jannik Sinner was a gladiator on the court at the Australian Open, where he won his first Grand Slam title with a five-set comeback against Daniil Medvedev in Sunday's final. Now back in Italy to celebrate his achievement, the 22-year-old fittingly visited the Colosseum in Rome as part of his trophy tour with the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup.
"A special place to come home to," the Italian wrote on social media. "Thank you for all the love."

Un rientro molto speciale😊 Grazie Roma! Grazie di cuore a tutti per l'affetto! 🇮🇹 pic.twitter.com/K4UDYzXhmD
By winning the Australian Open, Sinner became the second Italian man to win a major singles title in the Open Era. He joins Adriano Panatta, the 1976 Roland Garros champion, on that exclusive list.
Prior to his return home, Sinner celebrated his triumph with a photoshoot at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne.
