Was basketball star Caitlin Clark once a tennis player?
She said she was... at least briefly. Frances Tiafoe met the University of Iowa standout Saturday following her team's victory against the University of Maryland. Tiafoe is a proud supporter of the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia), but he was happy to catch up with one of the biggest stars in American sports.
“I used to be a tennis player back in the day,” Clark told Tiafoe.
“Oh you actually played?” he responded.
“I got kicked out of tennis class and that was the end of my tennis career,” Clark said, cracking a laugh.
“I think you made a good decision!” Tiafoe said.

Tiafoe is the top seed at this week's Dallas Open, where he will face 2023 Next Gen ATP Finals competitor Alex Michelsen or a qualifier in the second round. The home favourite seeks his first ATP Tour title of the season after winning two last year.
